It’s the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet, which Mercedes says pays homage to “automotive haute couture.” It was introduced at an event in Pebble Beach, where the big Concours d’Elegance classic car show takes place Sunday.

Like the luxury cars from the 1930s, it’s long and low with boat tail rear.

“The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet takes modern luxury into the realms of the ultimate in luxury,” says Gorden Wagener, chief design officer of Mercedes parent Daimler.

The car is almost 20 feet long, largely because of its long hood. It rides on 24-inch wheels.

Inside, the interior is supposed to have the feeling of an open-air lounge with a yacht-like appearance. Yet is has a mix of digital instruments and dials with needles.
